Touch of Japan is a useful travel tool. We store the phone number, address and website of each location along with other information. We can call a restaurant or venue to make reservations or buy tickets simply by tapping the location’s phone number. We can navigate to our destination by tapping the English address which opens Google Maps and provides directions in English. We also added a Japanese address which opens Google Maps in Japanese. We found this useful when riding in Japanese taxis or asking a local for assistance as most Japanese preferred the Japanese version of Google maps.
To get started, we suggest you start with the Touch of Japan Places to Visit page. You can also access it from the menu or the button at the bottom of this page. Use the filters on the Places to Visit page to drill-down to your interest geographically or type of place. Be sure to check out our Places to Visit Map, and interactive map of all our places, as well.
